Dubdisco Podcast #57
Dubdisco a German collective focuses on Music that is not whats mainstream in Berlin clubs such as techno and house. Rather, more slow dance, discoy, floating and dubby
I came across them after having ordered one of their records particularly for the track König Dub, an edit of German DDR Karat - König Der Welt from 1983. The edit was particularly made by Georg one of the members of the Dub Disco, who also happened to live in neighborhood and had delivered the record himself.
After few conversations Georg asked me to record a set for their podcast series which I did back in November 2025, and finally posted in April 2026 which you can find here.
König Dub was a big inspiration for my set. It was also during a time where I am digging a lot in Balearic, floaty, emotional, positive sounds.
“This mix is so precious. I love its tasteful, atmospheric eclecticism so much. Mo from Berlin, we met through the purchase of a Dub Disco record, has produced a style that I was hoping for such a long time to be able to add to this series. Thank You so much! My first listen was in the middle of a 4 hour drive down the autobahn, I was in a kind of depressed mood, but his mix made me enjoy life again and lifted my spirit as it seemed impossible at the beginning of the trip. That's the best thing which can happen, isn't it?!
I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I do.” Georg
