Planet Caravan

We sail through endless skies

Stars shine like eyes

The black night sighs

The moon in silver trees

Falls down in tears

Light of the night

The earth, a purple blaze

Of sapphire haze

In orbit always

While down below the trees

Bathed in cool breeze

Silver starlight breaks down from night

And so we pass on by the crimson eye

Of great God mars

As we travel through the universe

I always avoided Black Sabbath because I am really not a metal head tbh. Planet Caravan is an anomaly! I stumbled on it few years ago and surely confidently enters my top 100 chart of all time best underrated music in the life of humans, animals, trees and dust, water, and potentially aliens.

Planet Caravan is a journey. Through endless skies. Dreamy dubby bass-line backed by a flute, bongo, cosmic guitar and an otherworldly far-away vocal from Osbourne. Behind the lyrics, Butler said its about two people so consumed by each other that the entire cosmos becomes the backdrop of their intimacy. It's deeply romantic, almost escapist in nature.

This one is my favorite youtube comment: I love listening to this while walking on the beach with my girlfriend, until the LSD wears off and I realize I’m dragging a mannequin around a Burger King parking lot.
