The Crime, The Passion, The Rapture
I recently discovered that Prince produced a soundtrack album for the 1989 Batman film. I found that by coming across one of his records for $5 in New York. The album is great! The top hit is Batdance featuring a criminally incredible musical of him playing both the joker and batman.
My favorite track however is an extension of Scandalous which later became a three-part 19-minute suite, named The Scandalous Sex Suite Part 1: The Crime, Part 2: The Passion, Part 3: The Rapture. The rumor is that Kim Basinger (Who stars the Batman film) was in studio with prince when they recorded Scandalous. A short dialogue takes place between them of what seems like a buildup to getting it on. The moans and the sexy sounds that you hear are real recordings of their lovemaking.
